The awarding of letters of appointment to 41 individuals who scored the highest marks at the limited competitive examination for recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service held in the year 2023 and the interview as per Gazette Notification of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka No. 2240 was held recently (15th) at the Temple Trees under the patronage of the Hon. Prime Minister, Mr. Dinesh Gunawardena.

Concurrently with the same, seven candidates who passed the limited competitive examination for recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Planning Service held as per Gazette Notification No. 2039 issued in 2017, having scored equal marks, were also awarded letters of appointment to the Sri Lanka Planning Service by the Hon. Prime Minister.

The ministry has taken steps to provide one-week induction training at the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration to these newly recruited officers of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service and Sri Lanka Planning Service and also to attach them to workplaces where vacancies exist with effect from the 22nd of this month.

The State Minister of Provincial Councils, Local Government and Environment, Mr. Janaka Vakkumbura, Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr. Anura Disanayake, Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne and officials of the ministry were present on this occasion.
